Teaching Style

DSC_5945.jpg

In all of my yoga and meditation classes, I create space for my students to open, strengthen, and stretch their bodies, minds, and spirits so they may access a feeling of deep connection and balance. I emphasize a continuous return to the breath for a meditative practice and always incorporate life lessons from spiritual and self-help texts, inspirational podcasts, or from my own personal learnings.

Regardless of the style of class, I aim to teach EACH and every class with The Five S’s : Strong. Soft. Slow. Simple. and with a Smile. I often repeat this alliteration mantra to myself before my classes, as they have become my intention for not only how I teach yoga, but also for how I show up in the world.

I believe that all types of yoga are immensely beneficial, thus I both practice and teach a broad range of styles, suitable for all levels. I believe the type of yoga that we resist the most is often the style that we most need, and so I encourage a well-rounded yoga and meditation practice. See Class Descriptions to find out more about each style of yoga that I teach.
