Yoga Therapy

Yoga therapy is a holistic approach to healing that incorporates yoga postures, breathing techniques, mindful exercises, and meditation to treat the whole patient on all three levels: mental, physical, and emotional. In a yoga therapy session, we assess the different aspects of your life that could be contributing to your symptoms, and we work to integrate healthy practices that will bring more balance, harmony, and well-being into your life. It includes but goes beyond traditional talk therapy to include movement therapy and neuro-cognitive training.

 

Yoga philosophy teaches us that the mind, body, and emotions are deeply connected. Sometimes, the avenue for healing physical ailments, aches, and pains in the body can be achieved through the avenue of the mind. Likewise, creating a regular physical practice for the body that incorporates yoga poses and stretches can help release mental and emotional stress and anxiety. Both peace in the mind and ease in the body are equally necessary to awaken the spirit and help you live a purposeful life, in alignment with your true self.
